Answer the Call
Artists, through a medium of their choice, do one of two things:
1. They help others to feel and experience something new or different than they normally do.
2. They help others to know they’re not alone in what they normally feel and experience.
Both are about empathy, connection, understanding, and universal human experiences.
To be an artist is to be a healer, a teacher, a bridge builder, a mirror, a friend, and more. If you feel called to be an artist, you are serving humanity, you are essential, you are valuable.
Answer the call. It’s not about being great (that comes with time and practice). It’s not about making profit (some artists do, some don’t, both are okay). It’s about EXPRESSING and SHARING a unique thought, feeling, idea, point of view, insight, or experience with others in a way that only YOU can. ❤️ Do that, dear artist, and you will feel fulfilled and live a purposeful life.
