You’re Not Broken: Why Dark Thoughts Don’t Mean You’re Bad
When Bad Thoughts Show Up, You’re Not a Bad Person
Have you ever caught yourself thinking something that made you go, “Whoa… where did that come from?” Maybe it was a flash of lust, anger, revenge, or just some shadowy intrusive thought that didn’t feel like the “real you.” If so, I want you to know—you’re not broken. You’re human.
The Truth About “Unspiritual” Thoughts
Being in a human body means dealing with a brain that’s still catching up to modern life. We’re carrying evolutionary instincts—aggression, lust, fear—that don’t always match our spiritual ideals. But thoughts and feelings alone don’t define who you are. It’s how you respond to them that matters.
Stop Fighting Yourself—It Makes Things Worse
The more we fight these thoughts, the more power we give them. That old spiritual saying, “what you resist, persists,” is true here. The miracle happens when we stop fighting and start accepting. Not approving of the behavior, but embracing the part of us that’s hurting, triggered, or scared.
Unconditional Self-Love Is the Key to Inner Peace
When you begin to love even the parts you don’t like, something incredible happens. That inner war starts to quiet down. Integration begins. You stop feeling fragmented. And ironically, it’s often only when you fully accept something that it starts to fade away.
You Don’t Have to Be Perfect to Be Loved
God doesn’t expect perfection. Your angels aren’t surprised when you have a rough day. You’re growing. You’re trying. And even when you’re not, you’re still loved. That’s what unconditional means.
This Is About Mastering Love—Even for the “Unlovable” Parts
What if these thoughts, temptations, or patterns are just exercises? What if they’re there to help you build spiritual strength and unconditional love? Because once you can love all of yourself—especially the parts you used to judge—you can love anyone.
If you’re struggling with thoughts or feelings you don’t understand or don’t want to have, you’re not alone. And there’s a way forward that doesn’t require shame, guilt, or punishment. Just love. Just patience. Just presence.
