The Spiritual Power of… Taking a Nap
Hey friend. Quick one today.
You ever fall asleep during meditation and then feel guilty about it? Or sit at your desk with a million things to do, only to find your head slowly drooping toward the keyboard? Maybe you wake up in the morning and think, “Nope. I just don’t want to get up today.”
Guess what that means?
You’re tired.
Yup. That’s it. No big spiritual reason, no energetic curse. Your body just needs more rest.
I recorded this video while in the middle of a long, busy, beautiful, exhausting week. I’ve been helping my sister prepare for her big move to Japan, working on a new business behind the scenes, and staying up way too late. I’m running low on sleep — and I felt it.
So instead of pretending to be “on” or pushing through, I showed up real, a little loopy, and shared the reminder we all need sometimes:
If you’re nodding off during meditation or zoning out when you have stuff to do, maybe the most spiritual thing you can do today is take a nap.
Even 20 minutes of rest can reboot your whole system. It doesn’t make you lazy. It means you’re human.
So if you’re tired today, take care of yourself. Do what’s absolutely necessary, and postpone the rest. Turn off your phone, close your eyes, and just let yourself rest.
Your body, mind, and soul will thank you.
And hey — if you’re feeling a little burned out on your path, know that you’re not alone. I offer loving, intuitive 1:1 mentorship for spiritual seekers, empaths, creatives, and lightworkers just like you. 💛
