Why I Adopted God as My Dad (And You Can Too)
You Are Loved Exactly As You Are
Have you ever felt like no matter how much you grow, improve, or heal… it’s still not enough? Like there’s always some invisible standard just out of reach that you have to meet in order to feel worthy of love?
Yeah. I’ve been there too. And in this video, I get real and vulnerable about that. I talk about something called the “defeated perfectionist” — the part of me that kept raising the bar every time I got close to meeting it, convinced I’d finally be lovable once I fixed everything.
But I also talk about the other voice. The voice that’s been with me since I was a kid. The one that speaks from deep within — gently, unconditionally, patiently. The voice of God. Of Source. Of pure Love. And it keeps saying the same thing over and over:
“You are loved. Exactly as you are. Right now.”
I share a story I’ve never told before… about a painful moment in my family where I felt emotionally disowned. It shaped me. It wounded me. But it also led to one of the most sacred, powerful moments in my relationship with God — the day I chose to adopt Him as my dad.
God never forced me. Never rushed me. Never got impatient. Just waited. With love.
So now I’m offering the same invitation to you.
You can choose your own relationship with the Creator. God will meet you where you are. Whether you want a divine parent, a best friend, a healer, a business partner — you get to decide. And whatever kind of relationship you want, it’s available to you.
Because here’s the truth I needed to hear — maybe you do too:
You exist, therefore you are loved.
God created you not by accident, but by desire. Because the universe was more beautiful with you in it.
If you’d like to explore this kind of connection, you’re not alone. And you’re always welcome here.
Much love to you,
David
